The OBC (Other Backward Classes) Cell of St. George's College Aruvithura aims to promote the welfare and empowerment of students belonging to the OBC community. The cell acts as a forum for addressing the issues and grievances of OBC students and provides a platform for their overall development.
The primary objectives of the OBC cell are as follows:
- To create awareness among the OBC students about various scholarship schemes and other facilities provided by the government.
- To assist the OBC students in availing scholarships and other financial assistance provided by the government.
- To organize seminars, workshops, and training programs for the OBC students to enhance their knowledge, skills, and employability.
- To provide guidance and counseling to the OBC students to overcome social, academic, and personal problems.
- To conduct various cultural and social events to promote the rich culture and heritage of the OBC community.
